Invite clients to report

Invite a client by email, or with a link, to one of your projects: they join in a click and can point at what should change on their own site. Reporters are free and see only the projects they were invited to.

Invite a client by email

  1. Open the project in the dashboard and its Clients tab. Owners and members can invite reporters.
  2. Under Invite your client, enter their email address and choose Send invitation.

The invitation is for that address and that project, works once, for 7 days. A client without an account joins with one click: no password, no form. One with an account signs in first. Revoke it from the project's Clients tab or the Workspace page whenever you like; it also stops working when the project is archived.

Or share a link

Choose Or create a link anyone can use, and copy it. It is shown once: only a hash of it is stored. Anyone who opens it within 7 days can join after signing up or in, so one link covers several people at the same client.

What the client does

  1. Opens the invitation and joins, which takes them to their first steps.
  2. Installs the TweakThis extension on a desktop computer, signs in to it, and opens their site.
  3. Points at an element or draws a box, says what should change, and sends it, or collects several notes in a review session and publishes them together.

When they send or publish, every owner and member of the workspace gets one notification for the batch, naming the client, the project and the number of items.

What a reporter can see and do

  • Only the projects they were invited to, with the published feedback on them, their colleagues’ included. Their own drafts stay private.
  • Comment on items, and answer an agent’s question on an item they reported.
  • Accept a fix to an item they reported when it is ready for review, or reopen it with a note. A reopen tells the assignee, or whoever made the fix.
  • Never your other clients’ projects, and they never need to talk to an agent.

Accepting a link adds one project. A reporter who works on several of your sites gets a link for each, and owners and members can add or remove a reporter’s projects later.

How many reporters

Reporters take no seat and cost nothing. Per workspace: 3 on Free, 10 on Pro and unlimited on Team. Moving to a smaller plan removes nobody; it only stops new reporters joining until there is room. More on working with clients is on the page for freelancers and studios, and the plans are on pricing.
