TweakThis

The TweakThis MCP server

TweakThis runs an MCP server that hands your coding agent the feedback left on your website: the note, the page and element it points at, and screenshots. The agent fixes it in your repository and reports back for you to accept.

Endpoint

Server URL
https://tweakthis.io/mcp

Streamable HTTP, stateless: every call is a POST with a bearer token. Opening the URL in a browser answers 405, because there is nothing to show there; this page is the human version.

Connect

OAuth (recommended). Add the server to Claude Code or Codex and sign in from the agent: your browser opens TweakThis, you choose the workspaces, projects and permissions the agent gets (read feedback, comment, work on feedback), and there is no token to copy or store. Revoke access under Integrations → Connected apps at any time.

Personal access token. Create one under Integrations → Access tokens in the dashboard and send it as Authorization: Bearer <token>. A token acts with your role in each of your workspaces. Name it after where it goes, so you know which one to revoke later, and give each agent its own: agents sharing a token count as one, and one can take over the other’s claim.

The commands for each agent are in its guide:

Any other MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP can connect with the server URL and a personal access token.

get_feedbackOne item: the note, expected and actual result, page and element context. No
get_attachmentA screenshot or element crop, as an image the agent can look at.No
claim_feedbackClaims the item for 15 minutes, renewable, so no other agent works on it.Yes

submit_resolutionWhat it changed and how it checked, with links: ready for review.Yes

Every successful list_feedback, get_feedback and get_attachment call counts toward the workspace’s monthly agent reads; at the limit they answer quota_exhausted. The allowance per plan is on pricing.

How an agent works through feedback

  1. It lists your projects and picks the one whose repository hint matches the repository it is in. If none matches, it asks you before editing anything.
  2. It lists the open items, reads one, and looks at its screenshot.
  3. It claims the item for 15 minutes, so no other connection works on it at the same time, and renews the claim or releases it if it stops.
  4. It fixes the code. If the request is unclear, it asks one question instead, and the item waits in needs input until you or the client who reported it answers.
  5. It submits a resolution: what it changed and how it checked it. The item moves to ready for review, and you, or the client who reported it, accept the fix or reopen the item.

What an agent may and may not do

  • It may read the projects and feedback it was given access to and, with the permissions you granted, comment, claim, release and submit resolutions.
  • It cannot accept or dismiss feedback, or set an item’s status directly. Only a person can decide a fix is done.
  • It cannot delete anything: no tool removes a project, an item, a comment or a screenshot.
  • Captured page data, such as the element’s HTML and attributes, reaches the agent as evidence from the page, not as instructions to follow. Links in a resolution are stored, never fetched.

Example prompts

  • Fix the open TweakThis feedback on this project.
  • Work through the TweakThis review session <session-id> in project <project-id>, one item at a time.
  • Show me what is waiting for me in TweakThis, but do not change anything yet.
  • Pick up the TweakThis items assigned to me or to nobody, and ask if one is unclear.

Each project page in the dashboard has a longer prompt to copy, with the project’s ID filled in. What the agent receives with each item is on what the extension captures.
